All that Glitters is Litter’ is an exhibition of art works by artist Anjum Singh, coming up during the mid of January. The exhibition includes paintings, sculptures and installations. Anjum is one of the distinguished contemporary artists, whose art works are a sound amalgam between poignancies and aesthetics. Anjum is equally skilled and comfortable while working with mediums varying from the very conventional oils to quiet unconventional materials, such as magnet, iron net, enamel paint or fibre glass.The body of works includes one, titled ‘Bloom 2008’ and another titled ‘Bee Hive’. The name of the show suggests the vanity and superficiality of the glamorous and glitzy aspect of the consumer oriented society. On a sarcastic note the title along with the work propose that the shine on the surface of objects or individuals, do not necessarily promise to offer superior maneuvers for life.
