At Frieze London, our presentation titled Sometimes, Ceaselessly, You Run Towards espouses the feminine subject and cultivates a powerful female subjectivity in tackling rampant systemic issues – such as the gender polemic, environmental and political violence against women, urban bias, censorship of free speech, restrictions on body and mobility, cultural capitalism, and mythological and familial legacy, among others – with deep, historical roots in a powerful and diverse region otherwise ceaselessly seeking to define its own contemporary moment. Our curation includes a range of media such as paintings in oil and watercolour, photographs, wooden sculptures, painted ceramics, conceptual installations and mixed media works.
