A Ramachandran: Strokes Of Lines That Tell A Story

By Lachmi Deb Roy | Outlook India

While stepping into the Vadehra Art Gallery in the Capital,  for an exhibition of A Ramachandran, one will not be surprised to see the strokes of lines telling a story. Drawing to Ramachandran is like a conversational language. Constant practice has given him the flexibility to use lines to express different moods and experiences. He says, “Unlike other artists, my drawings are not black and white versions of my paintings. They are an entity by themselves.” The exhibition starts with the early period of his political statements observing the subaltern images, like the labourers.
