What do women inherit from those who came before them, and what might they leave behind? At Vadehra Art Gallery in Delhi, Women on the Edge of Time brings together nine artists across generations and geographies to explore feminism, ecology, memory, resistance and inheritance.
Curated by Linsey Young, the exhibition takes its starting point from Marge Piercy’s 1976 feminist novel Woman on the Edge of Time. Featuring Anju Dodiya, Arpita Singh, Ashfika Rahman, Gurminder Sikand, Jai Chuhan, Jasleen Kaur, Leela Mukherjee, Mumtaz Karimjee and Sheba Chhachhi, it spans painting, drawing, photography and installation.
